About

As a results-driven creative strategist with 12+ years of experience leading dynamic content development across the tourism, hospitality, and university industries, my strategic approach is rooted in the human truth of storytelling. From crafting relatable owned and earned content to building massive, international advertising campaigns, the starting point for the work is always the same – where can the work intersect with humanity for maximum impact.

I’ve had the privilege of learning the art of strategic storytelling through my roles in marketing and communications with some of the best experiential brands in the world including Walt Disney World Resort, Wyndham Destinations, and most recently Universal Destinations & Experiences. In addition to leading incredibly energizing campaigns, I’ve also championed creative operations and process management as a member of the Transformation team at Universal and building the first in-house creative agency at Experience Kissimmee, a destination marketing organization.

As a leader, I believe in empowering teams to think outside the box, solving problems proactively, and continuously challenging the status quo (that’s where the good stuff comes to life). Outside of work, I’m always exploring new ways to grow, write, and relate to this big, beautiful world. Thanks for checking out some of my favorite projects!

Proudest Professional Milestones

1

Championing Creative Strategy & Communications Planning for Universal Epic Universe Theme Park

If I had told my younger self that I would get to be a leader at the table for marketing an entire new theme park in the theme park capital of the world, I wouldn't have believed it. Working alongside the best minds in the business to do something that had never been done before at this scale was the feat and privilege of a lifetime, and I couldn't be more grateful and proud. My role included leading the team responsible for creative strategy, briefing, and tactical execution as well as channel integration and beat launches. I also briefed in IP partners such as Nintendo, Warner Brothers and Dreamworks to bring them along the creative marketing journey.

Building & Leading an
In-House Creative Studio

While working as a Communications Specialist at Experience Kissimmee, I pitched to my leader the idea of bringing all the creatives in our 50-person destination marketing organization into one team and following an in-house agency model. She not only agreed with the idea, but also provided me with the incredible opportunity to build and lead the team. From onboarding new DAM and project management systems and training the organization on the new creative processes, to hiring creatives and agency partners and leading strategy and execution for all company creative, this was the challenge and opportunity that helped shape who I am as a leader today.

Working on the Walt Disney World Public Relations Team

My dream job in high school was to work in communications at Walt Disney World, which was a big dream for a girl in North Dakota. I started my journey by flipping burgers in the Disney College Program during my junior year of college, then a year later I landed an internship with the Walt Disney World Domestic Public Relations team. This role consisted of writing and editing press releases, scheduling and leading media shoots and FAM visits, and supporting event management for media events. I had the chance to work with media outlets like BuzzFeed, The New York Times, Good Morning America, and Food Network, and it was the job that launched my career in content.
